Checking in

Three weeks to go and still going strong. It's hard to believe that 9 weeks ago we started our summer season. Time flies by.

Needless to say, this year has flown by. Is it ok to say I am still getting up to speed on parenthood? As you can see below, Naomi is growing fast, and moving around. As I write this update, she is crawling around my office floor (one of the few rooms we have access to with carpet), she loves to crawl over to this one box (filled with YUGO training manuals) and stand up and try to open the box. Sometimes she is successful, but she often is entertained for 15-20 minutes with this simple "toy".

We are in the midst of a record year for the EOC. This despite the fact that a few teams dropped off due to the economy & concerns over the US media's coverage of Tijuana's drug related violence. In the late spring I reviewed our budget and adjusted our spending, with the probable forecast of lower than expected revenue. I am pleased to say that our revenue is on track to beat our initial estimate.

Ana has returned to helping in the EOC kitchen. She is enjoying the time serving & being with friends. It also gives her a break from mommy duties. (thanks in big part to her neice, Anahi)

The interesting perspective on the numbers is; we are busier than ever, yet we really don't feel like we are tired. As a family we have been able to get away more often than last year, even in the midst of one of our busiest weeks. I think that is a testament to the incredible team of men & women who are partnering with us.

I apologize for the lack of updates over the past few months. This is a discipline I need to grow in. But for those of you who do continue to have an interest in following our journey, through this blog, Thank You.
